Be the highest-paid nurse in the world!

Here are the highest-paying hospitals in 2024

Sup nurses!

Have you ever thought to yourself that the most frustrating part of being a nurse is looking at your payslip and not knowing what to do next to increase your income?

You likely have ideas of what to try, but which idea is the best one? And why didn't your strategy actually change anything in your salary like you hoped?

And then there's that lost feeling of being unsure of how to boost your nursing salary, so you work overtime shift after shift, hoping one of them will finally pay off, although it rarely does, and you’re still drowning in debt from nursing school, credit cards, auto loans, and so on and so on.

At some point, you want to give up on your dream of earning a higher nursing salary or starting a business to get yourself away from the bedside. You see travel nurses boasting about the hundreds of thousands of dollars they bring in annually, but why is your income not increasing?

Monica and I hear this a lot. I mean, a LOT, so you're definitely not alone.

We've heard it so much, in fact, that I HAD to create a spreadsheet to show you there is another way.

In my time on YouTube, I’ve made connections, and I’ve been able to collect dozens of union contracts. These contracts contain sSo, maketa that you cannot easily find on Google. The spreadsheet I’ve created saves you all of the guesswork and allows you to find out how much you could earn if you were to work in any of the hospitals on the list. You can filter your data by years of experience, number of hours you’d like to woSo, makeeek, preferred shift (day, evening, nights, or weekends), and you are able to view your hourly, weekly, or annual wage.

So, without further ado, he are the highest-paying hospitals in the country (and the world) for nurses:

BASE SALARY (0 years of experience, hourly rate, days)

Input for base hourly rate with 0 years of experience

Output for base hourly rate with 0 years of experience

As a new grad, your hourly rate will be as high as $86 per hour working at Stanford Medical Center. This is the BASE pay for a new grad nurse working the day shift. Think about that for a moment. Imagine being able to make $86 per hour as a new grad! That is unheard of anywhere else in the country.

BASE SALARY (0 years of experience, annual wage, 36 hours/week, days)

Input for base annual wage with 0 years of experience, working 36 hrs/wk

Output for base annual wage with 0 years of experience, working 36 hrs/wk

As a new grad, working 36 hours per week on the day shift, you could be earning as much as $160,561 per year at Stanford and $144,444 per year at any of the Kaiser hospitals in Northern California (the hospital system Monica and I work for)

PER DIEM SALARY (30 years of experience, annual wage, 40 hours/week, nights)

Input for per diem annual wage with 30 years of experience, working 40 hrs/wk, nights

Input for per diem annual wage with 30 years of experience, working 40 hrs/wk, nights

And if you want to know what the highest wage you could earn without working overtime hours is, it would be $346,943 per year as a night-shift per diem nurse working 40 hours per week. Now, that’s not to say it’s guaranteed you could get 40 hours of work per week as a per diem nurse, but there are places (like some departments in the Kaiser system) where you may be able to average 40 hours per week of work as a per diem nurse.

Watch this video if you want to see me break down my and Monica’s wages for 2024 in a live stream.

I also had a livestream where we talked about the cost of living in this part of California. So, make sure you watch that one as well.

If you appreciate the transparency in this newsletter, we share more of this with our members in the Nurses to Riches accelerator program.
